Journey to Bethlehem: Christmas Event

Sign up to Volunteer! We are transforming our church into the ancient Bethlehem marketplace like the night Jesus was born! We need YOUR help with different roles and stations to make this event come to life for kids!

Shepherds  - Play the shepherds from the first Christmas story and lead kids through a shepherd's craft.

Wise Men Assistants - Help the wise men who saw the star in the sky and lead kids through a starry craft.

Innkeepers - Play the innkeeper's family who had no room in the inn and make a special craft.

Pottery Shed - Lead families in sculpting pottery like they would in ancient Bethlehem.

Carpenters - Lead families in learning carpentry skills with wood and hammers like they would in ancient Bethlehem.

Scribes - Lead families in writing Hebrew on scrolls like scribes in ancient times.

Spice Shop - Lead families in learning the different spices used in ancient Bethlehem and given by the wise men.

Stable - Lead families in meeting Mary and Joseph and making a stable nativity craft.

Petting Zoo - Help out by the animals to make sure the petting zoo has everything they need.

Set-Up - Help set-up the tents and decorations to make the ancient city of Bethlehem come to life during the day on Friday.

Take-Down - Help take-down the tents and decorations after the event on Friday night (at 8 pm).
